DWARF CAR-CLASSIC MODIFIEDS, MOD LITES, JUNIOR RACING LEAGUE
(TUSA RULES, A.S.C.F., Q.S.C.A.Inc , N.A.S.R. Affilliated)
During the 2006-2007 season DwarfCarsOz will continue to provide a calendar consisting of Regional Venues
including:- Brisbane International Speedway(Archerfield), Charlton Raceway(Toowoomba), South Burnett Speedway
Club Speedway(Kingaroy), Maryborough Speedway, Gympie Saloon Car Club Speedway(Gympie). Future Speedway
tracks will be updated accordingly.
Drivers can compete in as many regional and national events a he/she chooses, although his National Points will be
based on his best three finishes regional or state. Based on that point’s structure, the national champion will be
The Regional Points however are accumulated during the season at the race venues provided at the beginning of the
season and nominating for these venues is required 10 days prior to a race event unless events fall within a 7 day frame.
The highest points holder for the season will then be awarded Regional Points Champion. Once a race season there will
be a State Title held at a Regional Venue of interest through the authorization and governing of Q.S.C.A.Inc and
A.S.C.F. This is a once a year State Title held as a separate event and points total to the Regional race calendar. A total
of 25 - 30 regional races could be scheduled for the racing season including Regional, State and National Points.
A Driver must compete in at least 6 Regional points race events to be able to compete in either State or National events.

Dwarf Cars Oz shall hereafter be referred to as DCOz throughout the rules and description as well as Team United
Sanctioning Association(TUSA), Australian Saloon Car Federation Incorporated(A.S.C.F. Inc) and National
Association of Speedway Racing(N.A.S.R.) in Australia. The rules of these affiliated governing bodies of Australia,
Dwarf Car owner/drivers must also abide by to race a Dwarf Car. Please refer to the current Australian Saloon Car
Federation Inc.Speedway Sedan RacingRules and Regulations as of July 2004 and National Association of Speedway
Racing Rules and Regulations.
The Rules and/or regulations/specifications set forth herein are designed to provide for the orderly conduct of racing
events and to establish minimum acceptable requirements for such events. These Rules shall govern the condition of all
events, and by participating in these events, all participants are deemed to have complied with these rules. No expressed
or implied warranty of safety shall result from publications of or compliance with these rules and/or regulations.
They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to a
participant, spectator or official. The race Director of Dwarf Cars Oz shall be enpowered to permit reasonable and
appropriate deviation from any of the specifications herein or impose any further restrictions that in his opinion do not
alter the minimum acceptable requirements. No expressed or implied warranty of safety shall result from such
alteration of specifications. Any interpretation or deviation of these rules is left to the discretion of the DCOz Director
and officials. Their decision is final.
1. DCOz/QSCA Inc race rules shall apply to all DCOz sanctioned events. Drivers must hold a current NASR licence,
have their Car Registered with QSCA Inc./A.S.C.F.Inc and must be a financial member of Dwarf Cars Oz in order to
compete/race a Dwarf Car in any Championship Points Events in Australia.
2. All DCOz vehicles are subject to inspection at any time.
3. Approval of a DCOz vehicle by the DCOz/QSCA Inc inspector shall mean only that the vehicle is approved for
participation in a competitive event and shall not be construed in any way to mean that the inspected DCOz vehicle is
guaranteed mechanically sound. Be it further declared that the inspector shall not be liable nor shall the sanctioning
body, for any mechanical failure not for any losses, injuries or death resulting from same. A Daylight Machinery Safety
Inspection is conducted every season before the first race meet at most Speedway venues with a Regional/Zone
Technical Representative either as a Class booking(recommended) or individual.
1.DWARF CAR- CLASSIC MODIFIEDS BODY STYLES
Any car specifications not covered in these body specs are subject to DCOz interpretation. Any significant performance
advantage will be addressed or an individual basis. DCOz reserves the right to determine what constitutes an unfair advantage.
(a) 1928 - 1948 American-made production vehicles only. 5/8 scale vintage, two door sedans, coupes, or pickup trucks(Hot
rod style). These are to be known as Classic Modified Body Styles.
(b) Modified appearing body style such as IMCA or DIRT modified. These are to be known as Modified Lite body styles.
© All chasis specifications are the same for both body styles.
2. BODY REQUIREMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS:

(A) Body must be 5/8 scale, stock appearing. Maximum outside tyre width 60”/1524mm
Cars must pass through a hoop 60 1/2”(1536.5mm) wide by 50”(1270mm) high. 73”(1854.2mm) wheelbase plus or

(B) Body will be metal construction, 26-guage steel or .040”(1.016mm)aluminium minimum.
Fibreglass or plastic grill shells allowed. All exposed edges must be folded or trimmed over. No lips or spoilers of any

2c. JUNIOR RACING LEAGUE
(a) All Dwarf CarsOz/TUSA rules for DWARF CARS-CLASIC MODIFIEDS OR MOD LITE divisions, as contained in this
manual, shall govern the JUNIOR RACING LEAGUE SERIES with the exceptionof the following:-
All Junior Drivers must be a minimum of 12 years of age. All Drivers under the age of 16 years must have a signed waiver by
parent or guardian. (12 - 16 years)
1. Weight - All Jnr cars shall weigh a minimum of 1100 with driver after race (Ref. Rule #3)
2. Engine - Only allowable engine will be a stock spec 600 GSXR Suzuki sealed (Ref.Rule #11)
3. Track may have the option of enforcing a rear gear rule.
4. Suspension - Shocks must be “PRO SB Series shocks” (Ref. Rule #15f)
5. NO torque absorbing devices (Ref. Rule #15m)
(a) All cars will weigh MAXIMUM 562.45kg with driver, after race. Empty car weight MINIMUM 430.91KG
(no ballast,no Fuel)
(b) No weight outside of car body , i.e. on nerf bars
4. BUMPER DIMENSIONS
(a) Front maximum width 30” . Bumper height 6” to 8” with 2 bar loop. Ground to top of bumper minimum 12”
Maximum 16”. Bumper may not extend more than 12” forward of front tyres.
(b) Rear Maximum width 56” with 3 vertical bars. Bumper height 6” to 8” with 2-bar configuration. Ground to top of
bumper: 12”minimum, 18” Maximum. May not extend more than 8” behind rear body panels.
© Bumpers must be hollow with maximum wall thickness of 0.125” (3.175mm)
(a) Firewall must be metal and must completely separate engine compartment g\from cockpit. Engine protruding into
cockpit must be enclosed.
(a) Winsheild must be Lexan ,Wire Mesh,or Protection bars. Lexan highly recommended when running asphalt.
All other cockpit areas must remain open. Deflectors may be used in front of driver. May be no wider than roll bar area.
7. NERF BARS
(a) Full Length nerf bars between front and rear tyres MANDATORY. Maximum outside diameter of 1.25”(31.75mm) and
1.25”(31.75mm) Maximum thickness.
Must be hollow. May not extend out beyond tread width more than 1”(25.4mm) at the rear only.
(a) Seat must be high-backed aluminium, racing type.E.g.Kirky recommended. All cars will have permanent bar located
behind top of seat at shoulder level. Bottom of sear will not be more than 63”(1600.2mm) back measured from upper ball joint.
Seat may be tilted back for added driver head clearance, however, no porttion of the seat may be back no more than
70”(1778mm) as measured above.
9. NUMBERS AND GRAPHICS
(a) Car number must be MINIMUM 12”(304.8mm) in height and 2”(50.8mm) stroke.
Must be displayed on each door and roof. Roof numbers MANDATORY and clearly visible for Lap Scorers.
***Numbers in 4”(101.6mm) size should be on front and rear of car to help with line ups.
10. WHEELS AND TYRES
(a) Steel wheels only, MINIMUM wall thickness 0.090”(2.286mm), 13”(330.2mm) only.

11. ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS
(a) Displacement MAXIMUM:
1.Side Draft Motors 1250cc(+ 1%)
2.Down Draft Motors limited to 1200cc MAXIMUM WITH NO VARIANCE
3.ZX12 - MUST remain stock bore, stroke, rod length, and be stock appearing.
Rod Length Rule in effect January 2006
Stock OEM Fuel Injection only. All head components must be OEM stock with the excepton of cam
OEM stock ignition box ONLY to control engine functions.
Power commanders or fuel monitoring devices permitted but may not include additional boxes modules or
Devices to alter motor functions .
4.Water-cooled engines 1100cc and below can run carbureters or fuel injection system.
5.Down Draft engine must run pump fuel only
6.No Engine can be modified to be less than original stock configuration OEM specifications
7.Engine must be in production for two years before being deemed legal for use. Any major changes to existing
Engine by the manufacturer must be reviewed by board before approval.
8.OEM Electronic Engine components(Power Commanders permitted) will be reviewed annually to insure
9.Kawasaki ZX10 engine to be reviewed for legality for 2007 racing season. We currently DO NOT allow any
head modifications, porting, polishing on down draft engines.
(b)Four Cycle, Four Cylinders MAXIMUM ONLY. Must have working transmission, clutch, and starter with all
Parts in Place. Complete Clutch assembly must remain in engine. External reverse boxes allowed.
NO air controlled shift Devices.

(f)Engine Setback: The square of the engine (rear fins of the jugs) may not extend rearward more than
17” (431.8mm) from the centre of the front spindle. No part of the engine or transmission may extend rearward
more than 21”(533.4mm) from centre of front spindle.
(g)No after market fuel injection and no turbos. NO NITRO OR NITROUS OXIDE. OEM fuel injection must

Water-cooled motors. Casting part lines must be visible upon INSPECTION . Intake port area may be altered
to match intake boot. Alteration not to exceed 3/8”( 0.6773mm)into intake port. Carburetor/Fuel Injection boot
Must fasten directly to head in the stock intake port location.
(m)Header must attach directly to head in stock exhaust port location.
(n)Oiling system may not include a dry sump system.
(o)No increasing or decreasing of motor stock stroke in any way.
(p)Engine exhaust must include muffler and exit rearward. Muffler must be minimum of 98 decibles at 100 feet
Or meet local track regulations(using a sound level meter).
(q)Cylinder cranking compression:-MINIMUM 220 p.s.I. per cylinder average of 4 cylinders, NO VARIANCE
Measured with a Snap-on compression gauge(part no:EEPV303A, EEPV306A or MT26J200) after ten(10)
compression revolutions of cranking, 15-45 minutes following feature event.
®Carburetors or Fuel Injection and all spark plugs must be removed before checking compressions.
12.BATTERY AND FUEL SYSTEM
(a)Battery and Fuel pump must be mounted outside driver compartment. Battery must be secure and held with
non-rubber strap. Electric fuel pump allowed.
(b) Fuel cell MANDATORY, Maximum 22.5 Litres, located in trunk.
© PUMP FUEL(Unleaded or Premium) or Metanol allowed. According to local preference.
NO FUEL ADDITIVES ALLOWED.
(d)Reinforced or steel braided line must be used in all high -pressure areas.
(e)A direct manual CUT-OFF SWITCH wired to ground circuit will be installed on the right rear shelf or rear
firewall within 6”(152.4mm) of the corner formed by the rear deck and rear firewall. SWITCH will be located
over the right shoulder of the driver. The emergency electrical CUT-OFF SWITCH will be clearly located and
Marked for all infield/pit marshalls and officials.
(a)Must use steel drive shaft from transmission to automotive rear end. MINIMUM 2.50” x .083” x .120”

(d)Rear must be locked or have a solid spool.
14.FRAME AND ROLL CAGE
(a)Main frame members will be MINIMUM of 1” x 2” x .120” (25.4mm x 50.8mm x 3.048mm) wall rectangular steel
tubing only. Mainframe rail consist of the length between the front lower a-arm cross member and the rear main
roll bar upright. NO ALUMINIUM ALLOWED IN CAGE OR FRAME.
(b)Main frames will have a MINIMUM of 3 cross members between firewall and back of seat fabricated of same
material as frame rails.
Alternate material may be steel-angle MINIMUM .125” x 1.5” x 2(3.175mm x 38.1mm x 50.8mm )
Cross Bracing in floor under driver STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.
Rear Frame Rails at rear roll bar must be MAXIMUM: 38”(965.2mm) MINIMUM: 30”(762mm) outside dimension.
Rear Roll Bar must meet same dimension as the frame it is mounted to.
Frame may taper forward of driver seat area.
From Engine area frame width must be MAXIMUM: 24”(609.6mm) MINIMUM 20”(508mm) outside dimension.
Left and Right frame rails must be the same + or - ½”(12.7mm)

(d)ALL CARS MUST HAVE CAGE BARS installed across door openings on both sides. Bars should be welded in place as
part of roll cage. MINIMUM size 1”x .065”(25.4mm x 1.651mm).
RECOMMENDED 1.25” x .095”(31.75mm x 2.431mm)
Cars with bars mounted on doors must have full door frame and minimum or 2 horizontal cross-bars
MINIMUM 1’ x .083”(25.4mm x 31.75mm). Cars with bats mounted on doors must have ¼” x 2” Steel stops
Welded in/on each side of opening, totalling MINIMUM of 4”(101.6mm) on each end of door.
(e)It is required to have a steel bar with a minimum size of 1” x .065”(25.4mm x 1.651mm) from doorpost, under the
Dash. Steel plate on drivers door bars RECOMMENDED.
(f)It is recommended that, if using rivets, body panels attach to tabs welded onto cage instead of drilling multiple holes
into cage bars.
(g)No down tube frame cars allowed. Any bars going from cowl area to snout must retain below the upper line of hood.
(h)Classic Pickups may have two(2) bars going from upper rear roll cage down to rear clip.
(a)Front Suspension must not extend rearward past the most forward panel of the firewall
(b)Rear Trailing arm/radius rod specifications:
1.Arms may have A MAXIMUM LENGTH OF: 30”(762mm)

high enough to allow coverage by driving suit.
4.-Gloves-fire retardant material and may have thumb and index finger removed
first joint to help with tear offs.
5.Helmet- Fullface must be Snell 2000 approved.Suggested Helmet life is 4years.
6.Neck Brace Mandatory.leaving a 15mm gap between helmet and collar.
7.Fire-retardant foam padding required above driver helmet area and bar-work in cockpit
area to protect driver.
8.It is recommended that all body piercing,jewellery and dentures be removed prior to

(a)All Drivers must be a minimum of 16 years.
(a)The Rules and/or Regulations set forth herein are designed to provide for the orderly conduct of racing events and to
establish the minimum acceptable requirements for such events. These Rules shal govern the condition of all events and by
participating in these events, all participants are deemed to have accepted and complied with these Rules and Regulations.They
are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to a participant,
spectator, or official.
NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM PUBLICATION OF/OR
COMPLIANCE WITH THESE RULES AND REGULATIONS.ANY INTERPRETATION OR DEVIATION OF THESE
RULES IS LEFT TO THE DISCRETION OF DWARF CARS OZ,ASCF INC AND NASR AND THEIR DECISION IS
(b)NO alcohol to be consumed before or during race events by anyone entering the pit area.
©Dwarf Cars Oz reserves the right to reject or allow entry of any driver or car.
(d)Abuse or Confrontation of any racetrack or Dwarf Cars Oz,Q.S.C.A. or NASR official and/or use of abusive language is
FAILURE TO ABIDE BY THIS RULE MAY RESULT IN SUSPENSION, LOSS OF POINTS, WINNINGS, RECORDS
AND/OR CASH FINE.
(e)Any isputes involving qualifying times,lap scoring, finishing position is under the jurisdiction of the hosting track Officials.
Any disputes or discussions of this nature are to be held with Dwarf Cars Oz Officials ONLY.
(f)THE DRIVER ASSUMES RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE ACTIONS OF THEIR PIT CREW AND GUESTS
(g)Drivers,Owners,and/or pit crew shall have no claims of any kind against or cause of action for damages of any kind,
expenses, or otherwise against Dwarf Cars Oz, QSCA Inc,NASR any track owner, promoter or Official by reason of
disqualification or damage to either car, driver, or both. This regulation shall be deemed a covenant not ot sue made by each
driver, owner and/or pit crew member to Dwarf Cars Oz, QSCA Inc., NASR any track owner, promoter or official with respect
to any alleged act on omission or agreement by any of them.
(h)Dwarf Cars Oz, QSCA Inc, NASR or track officials at any time for safety, mechanical, or rules compliance may inspect any
(I)ANY RULES OR REGULATIONS/SPECIFICATIONS NOT COVERED IN THIS BOOKLET WILL BE DETERMINED
ON A TIMELY BASIS BY DWARF CARS OZ, QSCA INC, NASR AND THE DECISION IS FINAL.
(j)Effective date of these rules 1st July 2006.
